University donations to British Heart Foundation banks: Impact Report
The University of St Andrews is proud to share that 55.6 tons of resources were donated through the British Heart Foundation banks across campus from October 2024 to September 2025. These donations have raised £105,000 for the charity, contributing to life-saving research into cardiovascular disease.
In a single year, the University’s donations equate to funding a state-of-the art microscope. You can read the British Heart Foundation’s full Impact Report 2025 below:
As we prepare for the Winter Shutdown, please consider donating unwanted but reusable items, such as clothes, shoes, books, and small working electrical appliances, to one of the 20 banks across campus.
Your donations also contribute to St Andrews’ circular economy, as over 55 tons of resources have been diverted from waste streams and instead made valuable through supporting medical research.
Thank you to all who have contributed to the British Heart Foundation this year.
